Beth Ostrosky resembles Christie Brinkley, don't you think? You can see it in her smile, her eyes, and, of course, her long blonde hair. Talk about a whopping zigzag part! Her stylist must have had a barrel of fun creating this look!

Tip: If you have long layers like Beth's and want to add some volume on top, try an extreme zigzag part like in the picture. Moving the hair over to the other side creates resistance, which adds volume.

I've heard many clients say they don't know how to make an irregular part. After successfully blow-drying your hair, brush it away from your face. Use the comb you're most comfortable with—a rattail comb works well for some. Start at the edge of your forehead to begin your part. Move about 2.5 cm (1 inch) or even 5 cm (2 inches) to the right, then do the same in the opposite direction. Continue as long as you'd like your part to be. You can make it as dramatic or erratic as you like, like sketching your design on a canvas.

Another idea is to angle your zigzag part. Start a little off-center and angle it towards the side. This will give your hair color a new dimension. And if all else fails, there are combs available to help you achieve this look.
